Millie Ferrier - Sales Manager 

Millie joined Amazon Creek in May 2010 and is responsible for the company’s sales activites. Millie will be your main point of contact from the moment you enquire about our properties to the second you arrive at one of our stunning destinations. Millie’s ‘can do’ attitude ensures our guests enjoy their Amazon Creek experience. Having had over 4 years experience arranging luxury holidays and combined with her passion for travel, Millie will ensure our clients have a truly memorable holiday. Out of the office you can find her planning her next travel expedition, skiing, dancing and escaping to the countryside!

 

 

 

 

Alex Lambert - Chalet Manager

Since graduating in 1996 from Brighton with a BA in International Hospitality Management, Alex worked for Sodexho (formerly Gardner Merchant) Caterers in the UK in the Corporate Hospitality events division then went on into central marketing and sales.  After 6 years she decided to join her boyfriend working the ski seasons and in 2003 they opened a B&B in the South of France to keep busy in between.  Alex's seasons have been spent mostly in the 3 valleys and Chamonix.  Alex is into travel & discovering other cultures, food & wine,  music, theatre, hiking, yoga and all things latin American

 

 

Abigail Webster - Chalet Chef

Abi is an accomplished professional chef with extensive experience of catering to private clients, whether that be an intimate gathering or large function. She has built her career working in exclusive ski chalets, luxury yachts and private residences. Her diverse repertoire and passion for food allows her to cater to a range of tastes and to meet any dietary requirements. As well as being an excellent chef in the kitchen, Abi is highly organised and loves to work with guests in advance on menu planning. Outside of offering our guests culinary delights, Abi enjoys being sporty and loves spending time on the slopes skiing.

 

 

 

 

Ruth Kamrowski - Villa Host


Ruth has extensive hosting and hospitality experience and has completed many summer and winter seasons in resorts across Europe.

As our Host in Sete, Ruth brings her extensive knowledge and a range of skills to ensure guests get the most out of their holiday and will use her qualifications and experience to supervise the water sports programme and offer childcare services.

Ruth also has an MSc in Marine Ecology & Environmental Management, and as a PADI Divemaster, so is never happier than when close to the ocean!
 

 

Captain Jean-Laurent Simon


Qualifications :  Yacht master offshore- Captain 500 - Captain 200 GT STCW95- Kayaking instructor – Oenology Studies – English fluent

Jean Laurent learnt to sail with “Eric Tabarly” on Pen Duick VI in 93/94, crossing the Atlantic and cruising all over the Caribbean, where he was inspired to take up sailing as a career.  After several years working as deckhand and 1st mate on several yacht charters, in the Caribbean and in the Med., he completed an intensive course in Corsica to be captain (1999).
A strong sailor, Jean-Laurent has enjoyed racing in the Caribbean and Europe. He attended as race crew (bow man, pit position..) the Classic racing circuit in the Med.,  the Santa Cruz Annapolis racing (on board Mari Cha III, Donny Brook and White Wings) and the Jubilee in Cowes.

He has been Captain on various yachts, from Splash Tango (Swan 51 in 2000) to Moonbean of Fife III ( 2004-2007), and Carrara (MY 86ft) and Noon Tease MY 72ft), and earned a host  of excellent references.


Jean-Laurent is a skillfull technician, with a good sense of humour and he is always available for the passengers.

 

 

Barbara Carbone - Chef/Hostess


Qualifications :  Hotel trade school (Arma Di Taggia) STCW95 – French-English fluent.

Barbara originally hails from Italia, where she naturally inherited the love for Mediterranean cooking. After completing 3 years at catering school in Arma Di Taggia, she found a summer job on a motor yacht and decided then to improve her skills on different yachts. Having worked now for 13 years in the yachting industry as Stewardess and cook, mainly on motor yachts from 80 to 115 ft, Barbara is very pleased to embark on Swallows & Amazons with her boyfriend, Jean Laurent.

Together Barbara and Jean Laurent aim to help you indulge all of your senses with gourmet delights and exciting sailing in some of the world’s most beautiful destinations. They are assisted by a deckhand.

They make a very professional, friendly and complementary team, and look forward to welcoming guests aboard Swallows and Amazons.
