Johanna McAllister - Sales and Marketing Manager 

Johanna McAllister joined Amazon Creek in September 2008 and is responsible for the company’s marketing activities. With a background in film and television, working for Pinewood Studios, Johanna was responsible for sales and marketing, working with Universal, Paramount, Warner Bros and the BBC. Her role within Amazon Creek is to ensure the client gets the best possible service and a truly memorable holiday. Her ‘can do’ approach means that every request is taken care of. Away from work, Johanna enjoys open water swimming, skiing and relaxing on a beach!

 

 

Stéphanie Maeder - In-Resort Manager

Stéphanie is passionate about skiing and the mountains. She has been instructing in Chamonix for 10 years and until joining us was one of Evolution 2's most sought after instructors.  She joined Amazon Creek in 2009 to run our winter programme in Chamonix and manage our villas in Sete.  She loves instructing, taking care of clients and explaining everything there is to know about skiing and the mountains.  She is also renowned for having the best smile in the Mont Blanc Valley.  As well as instructing, she will oversee your ski-hire with the best outfitters in town, organise guiding and heli-skiing or other bespoke requirements and ensure you get a table at the best restaurants on the mountain! In Sete, Stéphanie is on hand to act as a concierge to guests, organising anything from Swimming Instructors to an in-villa Chef.

 

Abigail Webster - Chalet Chef

Abi is an accomplished professional chef with extensive experience of catering to private clients, whether that be an intimate gathering or large function. She has built her career working in exclusive ski chalets, luxury yachts and private residences. Her diverse repertoire and passion for food allows her to cater to a range of tastes and to meet any dietary requirements. As well as being an excellent chef in the kitchen, Abi is highly organised and loves to work with guests in advance on menu planning. Outside of offering our guests culinary delights, Abi enjoys being sporty and loves spending time on the slopes skiing.

 

 

 

 

Captain John Pearce

John learned to sail whilst serving with the British Army. He has continued to sail and build upon his sailing qualifications and experience over the past 30 years. A mature captain with  experience of both cruising and charter work, John will tailor your time on board, making it a holiday you will never forget! 

John has considerable experience sailing the Caribbean and the East coast of the USA.  He has also completed many Atlantic crossings and has worked in the Baltic and Scandinavia. He was the principal and owner of the RYA sailing school Dolphin Sailing and has a current RYA cruising instructors ticket.

If asked he will tell you he has sailed many boats but commanded three beautiful sailing yachts, most recently Swallows and Amazons.
 

 

Jane McMinn - Hostess/Deckhand

Jane is an experienced sailor and has run her own charter business in Scotland for several years. Extremely competent with all technical aspects of the yacht, Jane is fully RYA qualified. As hostess, she works hard, with enthusiasm and professionalism to make sure that guests expectations are surpassed.

 

 

 

 

 

Stephane Peyron - Summer Water Sports Manager

Stephane has been a fully qualified surf instructor for over 10 years and loves everything about water-based activities! He joined Amazon Creek in summer 2009 to manage the Amazon Creek water sports programme, available to guests during their stay in our Sete villas. Stephane is also qualified to instruct water skiing and kayaking. He is wonderful with guests of all ages, especially children and encourages all to have a go at the activities on offer. During the winter months, Stephane works in Chamonix on the mountain rescue team.

 

 

 

 

Richard Booth - Fitness Retreat Instructor

Richard has been in the fitness industry for 15 years and qualified with a distinction in Exercise Science in his home country of New Zealand before moving to the UK. Richard's career achievements include playing rugby at professional level, national Tae Kwon Do champion and building a successful personal training reputation. Richard has worked with clients to help them reach their best results in a group or one-to-one environment using a range of techniques. A fitness all rounder, Richard enjoys all sports and is currently enjoying squash and tennis.
